accelerator

The accelerator's wire rope now no more turns the throttle flap, but terminates in a potentiometer that is connected to the motor controller. I got the potentiometer already pre-wired and tested by Marco Lorey.

Potentiometer mounted to the backside of the engine compartment.

Mounting bracket - it had to be adapted to the uneven wall of the engine compartment.

Some parts required to link the wire rope to the potentiometer's lever.

No more losing at the chicken game! The pedal is pushed down by a piece of water pipe, which is held by locking pliers that press against the edge of the driver's seat. This helps to check whether the potentiometer reaches its end position when the pedal is floored. I had to drill an extra hole at a suitable radius into the potentiometer's lever to match the wire rope's travel.
