I had let myself be fooled by the name "​personal protection switch",​ which however is not clear enough. So, when purchasing such a switch, it is mandatory make sure that it is "​SPE",​ i.e. "​switched protective earth"​!

-Room for improvement:​ The tank lid seems to never have had a lock that prevents the lid from pressing a dent into the surrounding sheet metal if opened too wide. Not so easy to construct á posteriori, unfortunately.
